Meskipun Tevez mendapat gaji sebesar 11,8 miliar rupiah per minggu, pemain asal Argentina tersebut mengatakan bahwa sepak bola China ketinggalan 50 tahun di belakang Eropa dan Amerika Selatan.
Tevez telah bertemu dengan pelatih Boca, Guillermo Barros Schelotto, dan akan segera memulai latihan bersama rekan setimnya di Los Cardales.
Klub Argentina tersebut mengumumkan kembalinya striker veteran tersebut pada hari Jumat (5/1) dengan gambar Tevez sedang berlatih bersama rekan satu timnya.
“Tevez pulang! Hari ini dia bergabung dengan Guillermo di Cardales dan telah berlatih dengan rekan setimnya,” demikian bunyi pernyataan klub di akun Twitter mereka.
Klub itu tidak memberikan rincian kontraknya atau mengungkapkan apakah klub China tersebut telah mendapatkan biaya transfer.
Kepindahan tersebut menandai kembalinya Tevez untuk ketiga kalinya ke klub asal Buenos Aires tersebut, di mana dia pertama kali terkenal antara tahun 2001 dan 2004.
Setelah memenangkan Piala Libertadores dan gelar Piala Interkontinental bersama Boca, Tevez pindah ke klub asal Brasil, Corinthians, dan West Ham sebelum meraih kesuksesan di kota Manchester, di mana ia memenangkan gelar Premier League bersama United dan City.
Tevez membuat 63 penampilan untuk Manchester United antara tahun 2007 hingga 2009 sebelum pindah ke Manchester City, di mana ia bermain 113 kali untuk The Citizens, mencetak 58 gol.
Dia juga memenangkan dua Scudetto dengan Juventus di Italia pada tahun 2014 dan 2015 sebelum kembali ke Boca.
Dia bergabung dengan Shanghai Shenhua pada Januari 2017 dan meskipun dia memenangkan gelar juara di China tahun lalu, dia tidak pernah terlihat akan menetap di China dan gagal menambah 76 penampilannya untuk timnas Argentina.
