MERANTAU di Malaysia, Evan Dimas ditemani oleh sahabat dekatnya yang bernama Ibnu Asyir dengan tinggal di apartemen yang sama. Sang sahabat mengungkap kebiasaan yang kerap dilakukan oleh pemain Selangor FA tersebut.
“Evan sehari-hari sehabis latihan biasanya langsung pulang ke apartemen untuk istirahat, jarang keluar-keluar paling kalau untuk makan saja,” ujar Ibnu Asyir saat ditemui Bola.com di Stadion Shah Alam, Selangor, Jumat (2/4/2018).
Selain itu menurut Ibnu Asyir, mantan kapten Timnas Indonesia U-19 tersebut lebih banyak menghabiskan waktu untuk hal yang religius. Apalagi, suasana lingkungan juga sangat mendukung untuk lebih mendalami agama.
“Kalau malam biasanya kami mengaji bareng dan subuh menyempatkan untuk berangkat ke masjid,” kata sang sahabat.
Kebiasaan itu dibenarkan oleh Evan Dimas yang mengaku selama di Malaysia menjadi lebih religius. “Ibu selalu mengingatkan saya untuk tidak meninggalkan salat, hal itu yang menguatkan aku selama jauh dari keluarga,” kata pemain berusia 22 tahun itu.
Hal itu juga yang membuat Evan Dimas, memilih Ibnu Asyir untuk menemaninya selama di Malaysia. Selain butuh teman mengobrol, Evan juga ada partner untuk beribadah.
“Mas Ibnu itu sering mengingatkan saya untuk tetap beribadah, Ibu juga senang kalau saya disini ada teman yang seperti itu,” ungkap Evan.
Bermain di luar negeri memang baru pertama kali dilakoni Evan Dimas sepanjang kariernya di dunia sepak bola. Sebelumnya pemain langganan Timnas Indonesia itu membela Bhayangkara FC. *
