Egy Maulana Vikri terkena tekel ketika sedang berduel dengan kiper timnas U-19 Indonesia, Gianluca Pagliuca Rossy pada babak kedua.
Selepas kejadian itu, Egy terkapar tidak berdaya di atas lapangan.
Pemain berusia 17 tahun itu langsung dibantu oleh tim medis timnas U-23 dengan cara memapah untuk jalan keluar lapangan.
Egy pun dibawa ke pinggir lapangan dan langsung digantikan oleh Yabes Roni.
Selepas pertandingan, kaki kanan dari pemain kelahiran 7 Juli 2000 itu langsung diperban dengan menggunakan es batu.
Pelatih timnas U-23, Luis Milla, memberikan komentarnya terkait cedera Egy.
Kata Milla, apa yang dialami Egy sudah sangat biasa dalam pertandingan sepak bola.
"Tidak ada masalah dengan Egy. Dia hanya terkena tekel biasa saja," ujar Milla singkat, Sabtu (24/2/2018).
Dalam pertandingan tersebut timnas U-23 meraih kemenangan telak 5-0 atas timnas U-19.
Lima gol timnas U-23 dicetak oleh Yabes Roni, Febri Hariyadi, Hanif Sjahbandi, Osvaldo Haay, dan Ahmad Nur Hardianto.
Pertandingan persahabatan itu sekaligus sebagai persiapan timnas U-23 untuk berlaga pada Asian Games 2018 pada Agustus mendatang.
Sedangkan untuk timnas U-19, laga ini sebagai persiapannya berlaga pada Piala AFF U-18 di Indonesia pada Juli mendatang.
Seusai uji coba tersebut, Milla memulangkan semua pemain timnas U-19 dan U-23 yang sudah berlatih bersama sejak Minggu (18/2/2018).
Rencananya, timnas U-19 dan timnas U-23 akan kembali dikumpulkan pada pertengahan Maret 2018.
